Reflection for Commercial

Image
Hey guys, welcome back!!! Today will be all about my reflection on my recent project, the commercial. This will be like a deeper view or understanding of the process of this project. Thankfully, the commercial came out like I wanted so let’s talk about it.     Technology was required for this, obviously. I learned how to edit on Capcut. During the process of creating my commercial I had to figure out how to use the actual editing app. Before, I didn’t have any type of knowledge on editing. I would see my friends edit their projects for other classes and see teachers make editing for their lessons but I never really knew. I watched Youtube videos and asked friends who have experience with editing before doing this project. To be honest, I was sort of not ready for all this information and new stuff to use. However, I eventually found some tricks and am now a beginner in editing!     The process of this project was pretty simple. One thing though, do not procrastinate and make sure yo

Production blog: Finishing up commercial

Examples of the videos I will be putting in my commercial. Hi guys welcome back to Zoe’s world! Today is the big day, the actual composing of the commercial. Now that I have every piece to my project, it’s time to make it look good. The videos and pictures are exactly what I wanted them to be. I want this commercial to represent me as a person but also a little of my life. What’s going to happen is I will open the Capcut app and go back to the saved project I had in progress. As the days passed, I learned and acquired a lot of knowledge about editing that I think could improve my commercial. While opening the project, the next thing I do is gather all the video and pictures into one album so I don’t have to be searching all over my camera roll. After, I add the first picture and video. It looks pretty wonky at first but when the transitions and editing is added, it improves. I edit and tweak the little bad bits until it finally looks smooth. This is where I add the background music whi

As you can see, I even like taking ideas from cooking books to show and make it for my family. Hey guys, it’s been a day and there has been many changes. Not like an utterly amount of changes but there has been some editing. I decided to switch up one video and one picture due to the fact that I think it would fit better in the commercial about me. I had a picture of my family however this didn’t include one with my half brothers. They come down every once in a while when possible. I thought that including the three of them in my commercial would be a key component. The previous picture that I wanted to include was a picture of my mom’s side of the family and I. Since I spend more time with my dad rather than my mom, the picture of his side of the family was needed. The picture I chose was one of all of us together during the covid era of our lives. The image includes my 2 blood related sisters and my 3 older half brothers at the mall looking like one of those families on Youtube. No

Production Blog; Ran into a problem

Image
Hey welcome back to Zoe’s world! I ran into a little sort of major problem these past few days. This weekend I had a little argument with my mother and she decided to take my electronics. Usually, this is very rare. My mom either makes another punishment. A little confused on what brought her to do this considering I need my electronics for school and work. She said she would end up giving it back in a week or so. Thankfully my friend let me use her phone. She understood my issue because she also has strict parents. Knowing that we both have AICE Media really helped this inconvenience. Now, I’m all caught up and doing my assignments. At home, I use my sisters computer when I get the chance to. I have good progress on the commercial so far, I feel like everything fits in. From having videos with my family to my friends and music that I really enjoy, I think it’s good. If I didn’t get to pick my media, it would’ve been very different. Now to the editing parts, the app has gotten easier.

Production Blog; Discovering editing app

This is how it looks when you first open it.   Welcome back to Zoe’s world! Today I learned how to use an editing app called Cap Cut. Honestly, I heard about it many times since I saw people use it for like social media videos but I never really knew anything else about the app. Well, I downloaded it today because it could be useful for my commercial project. So when opening the app, I cant even lie I was lost. It took me to the home page but I wasn’t sure where to start. I ended up clicking random buttons like signing up button. After that, I pressed new project. I added the photos and videos I chose for my previous blog and added those to it. I played around with the buttons making videos, collages, splitting the videos etc. I can across two of my favorite features on this app, the wide variety of music they have and the fact that I can’t take Cap Cut anywhere with me. The template button was also very helpful considering that you could search up anything you wanted. For example, bus

Research and Planning Blog

This is the cover of the song’s album!   Hello, welcome back to Zoe’s world! Today will be all about my researching and planning. It will compose of a song, 3 videos and 3 pictures. The point of doing this is to make my very first commercial project which I am very excited for! This blog will take a deeper look into my life and myself. Like I mentioned in my last blog, I have many interests/hobbies including baking, going to the gym, cooking, reading, etc. However, one of my biggest passions being music. This takes us to what song I chose which was the instrumental version of the song Bless by The Alchemist. Personally, I love everything about this song. If I were to have a song playing in the background of my life, it would be this one. Moving on, now I have to pick some pictures for my project, obviously. My first picture would definitely have to be me in Colombia, my home country. I feel like a picture from there would represent me. A second picture I’d put is o

Here’s a sneak peek of how I spent my labor day weekend!  Hi guys welcome to Zoe’s world, today I’ll be sharing a few things about me. I have many interests in life like music, reading, cooking, baking, and the gym. I love music and how it can express    emotions and express people in many ways. When it comes to music, I’m open to any genre except country. I’ll admit that on some on my free days, I find time to look for new music to put on my playlists. Some artists that I enjoy are Tyler the Creator, Lauryn Hill, Westside Gunn, Pharrell Williams, Bryson Tiller, Kehlani, Summer Walker, Brandy, Karol G, Tupac and Drake. Moving on… I don’t read all the time but if I’m at the pool or don’t have a busy day, I grab one of the books I bought a while back and read for a bit. When it comes to cooking, I like doing it because my brother and I love to cook whenever he comes to visit from the UK, so it’s just our way of bonding. Baking is kind of different. I enjoy doing this alone while music pl
