Production Blog; Starting to film!
Hey guys, welcome back to Zoe’s world! Today is the day! We finally start filming our final task. The group met up and we decided to rehearse what was going to be said for about five minutes. As Jenna got her bedroom set up for the first scene, I was ready to be recorded! The first free w scenes weren’t bad. I rarely am ever the main character mainly due to the fact that I hate being the center of everything. I accepted this role because why not, time to face some fears. As we finished the scenes on the bed. The group moved into the kitchen/living room area. We needed a change of location to make the story look realistic. The groups main goal was to make the video flow smoothly while also incorporating the required camera angles. For instance, close up, medium close ups, and medium shots etc. Before the kitchen scenes, we forgot to go outside to the park and school to film those bits. First was the park, it was an easy shot. Then we moved to a nearby school (Northeast) and a tracking shot was made as the camera followed me walking and saying bye from school. Now, we made our way back and filmed the living room and kitchen scenes. Our supervisor was there while we filmed for this setting’s scenes. A “cooking” scene was made with carefulness to not get hurt. Then I sat on the dinner table and began to act. This scene took a while because I kept messing up on what I needed to say. The location changed to the front of the door for like 2-3 scenes and then the knife came in. I made sure with my group and supervisor that everything was safe. A couple of scenes were filmed at the dinner table until it was time to go back into the bed room. The ending scenes were filmed in both the room and the living room. I’ll catch you guys later!
