Production Blog; Peer Review!
Hi! Welcome back to Zoe's World! Today we will be focusing on our film review. For our film review, we had our friend in the AICE MEDIA class, Franshesca watch our video and tell us what we needed to fix and what was good. She started by pointing out how many camera angles we overlooked. Then, as I already knew, she pointed out that we had forgotten our credentials. I simply need to remember to remember to do that right away rather than waiting until the last minute. More significantly, though, we must correct those camera angles immediately. We can only shoot on the day we film, as we have stated in previous blogs. However, in order to film again, we will need to rearrange some things. For instance, set a specific day on when we need to fix our mistakes. However thankfully not too many, we still need to correct them in order to earn a good score. High angle, low angle, tilt shot, dissolve shot, reverse shot, and the establishing shot are the camera angles that we missed. The establishing shot doesn't need to be redone, but we can make improvements. Although each of them represents a setback, fixing them is not a difficult task. Considering how simple these things are to repair, fixing this will probably take an hour at most. Franshesca said our video was good except for those missed concepts. We asked her because she took this class last year and received a C on the Aice exam. We are very grateful we asked her because she knew the mistakes we probably wouldn't have noticed. This would've impacted our grade drastically. She mentioned some positives about our video. For example, she liked the editing with the music and how it wasn't too overpowering to the point where that's all you could hear. She also took a liking to the sound in the beginning of the film that represents the parents fighting. Our film review wasn't fully successful but we did do a good job! See you soon!
