Production Blog; Film review mistakes fixed!
Hi blog! Welcome back to Zoe’s world! I'm returning to let you know about the updates. As you may be aware, following our film review, we had to make some adjustments. We had to rework it since, as our reviewer Franshesca pointed out, we failed to include quite a few camera angles. We went back to my house yesterday after school and reshot a few sequences using the new camera angles. The camera angles we left out were high angle, low angle, tilt shot, dissolve shot, shot reversal shot, and the establishing shot, as I expressed in my last blog. We reshot scene seven, where she is taking her mother's necklace out of the jewelry box, for our high angle. This scenario was the easiest to recreate as the first take already sort of looked like this, which is why we chose it for this camera perspective. Additionally, it was the most natural choice—and, to be really honest, we should to have considered it first because our original idea was nonsense. The necklace she removes from the box is hidden from the viewer's perspective. We reshot scene 22 with the camera at the low perspective because Sasha, the main character, leans down to pick up the box. This, in our opinion, enhances the scene's curiosity. We altered scene four, where Sasha was crying and staring out the window, for our tilt shot.To make it more realistic, we redid this one in order to capture additional footage of her sobbing and the window. We simply did it to get it done on the first try rather than giving it our all. I only needed to edit our dissolve shot so we wouldn't have to reshoot it. We simply modified the second scene, in which she speaks with her mother, for our shot in reverse, which added to the weird feeling. Lastly, we could have kept our establishing picture the same, but we just chose to rework it in order to improve it. We redid scene fourteen, but instead of following her with the camera, we concentrated on the car in the building.
This is one of the scenes that were fixed.
