Music video 1: We don't talk anymore by Charlie Puth featuring Selena Gomez

Cams: 

• Over the shoulder shot to show the view of the apartment.
• Establishing shot to set the setting in New York City.
• Medium close up to show the expressions of the people’s face.
• Tracking shot to show the people’s action in the video.
• Extreme long shot is them walking on the street.

Editing:

• Split screen is used throughout the video. 
• Zoom is used to show the text messages between the two people.
• Jump-cuts are shown to show them going on throughout their day without each other
• Cutaway because it goes from him getting coffee to just the mug symbolizing him being alone 
• Filters are used to show the effect of the phone being used. 

Sound:

• Sound bridge is used when the song keeps going on to each clip. 
• Fade out is used to show the music reaching silence at the end of the video

Mis-en-scene: 

Costume- Casual outfits (jeans, long sleeves, shorts, sneakers) from Charlie and the girl featured 

Lighting- The lighting changes from the natural lighting outside to a dim lighting in the inside of the apartment/hallway.

Acting- The actors are going on with their day doing different things without each other which is unusual.

Makeup- Red or purple eyeshadow seems to be used under the eye to create an illusion that he’s tired.

Props- Cell phone because they are texting each other. Cars and buildings are used to show that they are trying to move on to their life without each other. Life still keeps going so they have to move on.

Set-  The streets of new york city, their own individual apartments, a restaurant to show that they are with friends.

Music video 2: Grenade by Bruno Mars 

Cams:

High angle is used when he looks at his shoes walking and when the floor is shown.

Tracking shot is used to follow along him walking on the road.

Reverse shot is used when showing the back of his head and what he's viewing.

Extreme close up matching eye level area. 

Editing: 

Cutaway to show him walking through numerous locations to reach his girlfriend

Sound: 

Diegetic sound is heard from train tracks at end

Sound bridge is used when the sound goes to other cuts in the music video. 

Mis-en-scene:

Costume: Bruno is wearing a black suit and people are dressed as gang members in tank tops, nuns and priests. 

Lighting: Dim lighting is shown to represent sadness.

Acting: Bruno, nuns, gang members and a priest are shown in the music video. The video tells a story that Bruno is in love with a girl but that girl is cheating on me and has found somebody new after traveling to her. 

Makeup: You can assume that the makeup is the tattoos on the gang members

Props: Piano, rope, cars and people are used to make this video. 

Set: The set mostly takes place in a tunnel where the cars go through and then takes us around neighborhoods meaning a sort of town. It also takes place outside the girlfriends house to where he takes the piano At the end, it takes place on the train tracks where he takes his life. 

Music video 3: 

Cams: 

Point of view shot where the audience has the perspective of the crowd is shown in the music video

. 

In the music video, close up shot shows the singer ( Bruno mars) expression his emotion.

Crosscutting shows Bruno dancing as well as well as him randomly dancing with guitarist. 

Editing

Slowmo to show the people dancing is shown in video. 

Filters to give the "mood" of the music video are put into the video.

Fade out is shown when a women takes a picture and the whole screen goes white

Sound: 

Sound bridge carries the audio into another shot. 

Mis en scene: 

Costume:  Party outfits, glasses glitter are shown in the video.

Lighting : Multiple color flashing lights, filters, different color scenes are shown. 

Acting: The crowd is cheering and jumping to the song of bruno mars performing. The whole music video is a party environment where everyone plays along.

Makeup: In the video, bold makeup and glitter is as popular look for the women. 

Props: Microphones, instruments like guitars and drums, and sunglasses are used in this video.

Set: The set of this music video is in a club hosting a concert for Bruno and his band.
