Production blog: Using the capcut app!

This was the location of where the group filmed.

Hello guys, welcome back to Zoe’s world! In the last blog, I talked about how we filmed the group’s story and scenes. After completing that, I decided to meet up with my group and help the recorder (Jenna) with editing. I presented many ideas and so did my group. For example, I said that we could perhaps add some effects to the background of the scenes to make it more interesting. Mia brought a good idea which was adding filters to the videos to portray emotion. As my group and I watched the video scenes together, we agreed that it needed some editing. Split screen is used mostly throughout the story board made so, the two scenes were made into a split screen to create an effect of Mia being left out. After making the edit on the CapCut app the split screen was made and ready. Jenna and I reviewed the video again just to make sure it was correct. Amaya and Mia searched up many videos on editing tips and how to make a film good. The next scene came up before we got to the beach scenes and this was also split screen because Mia was being “left out” by Amaya and I’s plan in the music video. The split screen effect is very helpful because it shows the two different types of perspective going on between two to three people. Jenna made sure all indoor scenes were recorded nicely and detailed.. This concluded the last scene from the act.  Instead of doing all the editing today, it was agreed to meet up another day due to the amount of homework given in different classes. If the editing was rushed and done on the same day, the video might have came out looking choppy and unprofessional. Wednesday, would be the day the group meets up and redo it but also make sure that’s the final version the group wants to stick to.  Now, the group has more time to make adjustments and improvements to get a good grade. For the time being, I will do the same and improve my knowledge on editing so I can help out my groups. In the next blog,  I will be talking about what editing tools we used such as filters, ingredients etc.   As always, see you later!
